Excavation Projects

Before going forward with any project that requires excavating you should call 811 to learn where all sewer lines, gas lines and other utilities.

A yellow excavator arm digs into a deep hole filled with rocks and dirt, reminiscent of the precision seen in hydro jetting Chicago. The surrounding ground is rough and uneven, with scattered stones and debris.
Why is this necessary?

In order to prevent damaging public lines and rupturing gas lines that could be potentially dangerous, the American Public Works Association has to be notified of any work to be done so they can mark anything that is underground.

Once The American Public Works Association has marked any potential lines underground, contractors, plumbers and other workers may proceed with any excavation project.
